Job Offer - Interviewed around a month ago
I interviewed around three and half weeks ago, and am still waiting for an offer/rejection. Was curious if any of you know how long the wait time for ft can be at a BB. i called my hr rep about ten days ago and she said that she would get back to me. She still has not, am i to assume the worst? also, they usually will send a rejection if it doesnt work out, right?
Rejections are not always sent. U may still be in the running pending other candidates decisions. Don't give up hope just yet bc if others reject they may offer it to u
search.. youre on hold while they ask other candidates to commit... they will send you an acceptance or rejection they always respond.. keep pursuing other opportunities while you wait to hear back.. theres definitely a possibility that youll receive an offer but there asking their top candidates first
look elsewhere. if they want you they contact you asap. you are a wait list at best. it sucks. but it happens.
any of you have opinions on contacting the recruiter again?
you could contact again. it doesn't make a difference. the recruiter's power is only in withering down the resume pile from 1,000 to 20. After that, the recruiter is useless. He/She will say they are still not done with process. Or may simply not respond.
thanks all, i guess i'll sit tight
No harm is contacting hr. Just don't get ur hopes up
you had an interview for FT in BB? why so late? I'm still looking for a job...any tips on FT recruiting this pat of the year?
Doesn't matter, just relax.
You might want to contact HR. This girl I knew waited 2 months for her rejection before she found out that she accidently forgot to be called with her rejection.
Lesson being that if you're not contacted within a week or two, it's unlikely that you'll ultimately receive an offer.
waiting for a long time is usually not the best indication, but it still doesn't automatically mean you are being rejected. As mentioned above, you might just be waitlisted. Do call HR again though, sometimes they screw things up (has happened in the past). Also, some banks don't even send an answer when you get rejected after interviews (which is really poor etiquette imo). Make sure to get an answer because it really sucks waiting a long time for a rejection, as you are still getting your hopes up.
