Job vs Top Masters Program

Hey fam,

I’m currently a first year at a BB. I enjoy the culture of my office and surprisingly don’t find the work annoying. I can see myself in banking long term, but I’m also adventurous and willing to try out other roles/industries.

I went to a top 20 undergrad and applied to a bunch of masters program in finance / financial engineering my senior year, and now have a deferral at a top program (great name) for 2023 fall entry, which will open doors for quant positions in the future. However, I’m not 100% sure if I want to work for a HF due to the constant mental stress.

I plan on going to work in Asia in the long run (10 or 15 yrs), where school names are highly valued. But hopefully by then my work experience would speak louder than anything else.

Anyways, would appreciate some inputs on the situation.
