Is it a nice way of saying that I did not make the cut for an interview? Should I withdraw from this Placement as there are a few other positions that I like.

Why would you withdraw the app? Leave it be and apply to the others that interest you. AFAIK there's no limit to the number of positions you can apply to.

What happened to your application. Same status of my application after 2 rounds of interview and 1 case study presentation
had a couple more interviews and received a verbal offer. Turned down the offer.
