Sorry to let you know your friend was lying to you. I'm from a non-target school and I got into their finance summer analyst program. I'm still waiting to find out where I am placed I'm crossing my fingers for the IBD, but we'll see.
I think it is to late to apply though.
I don't think they will for the U.S offices. Try foreign branches (actually i think it's too late.)
that is a back/middle office program, so you might be covering ibd but not in ibd.
