jp morgan phonebook
I currently am a intern for Jp morgan but im in ops, i wanted to try my chances at applying to market analyst , wholesale payments and the IB positions. I wanted to try and maximize my chances and use the Phonebook to try and set up meetings with people to get my foot in the door. if i were to do this, who should i try and message first? a VP in those positions or would a MD be good enough? would it be better to apply internally and try my chances there?

I'd recommend reaching out to a current Analyst or even a VP. I'm currently a SA at JPM rn.
thats sounds like a good idea, i was thinking of looking them up on linkedin and then searching them up on the phonebook. do you know if its true that analyst can't help with getting interviews? ive been hearing that often
generally speaking, it's good to maximize on any networking opportunities you might have. Show them you're interested and ask plenty of questions to Analysts that are in specific positions you're interested in.

Start with analysts and associates. They're typically responsive, VP/MD might ignore random internal emails
