JPM Background Check

For people who have gone through the background check process with JPM, heard they use a third-party agency to run the process, what does the process look like? Are they going to check the internship based on the most updated resume you have in the portal now? (After group placement?) Anything I should be aware of? Thanks!

Pretty sure they don't. All they check is what you list, and they only ask for companies you actually worked at. even unpaid internships are not checked.

Went through the background screening for a FT IB role at JPM. The third-party provider used was Vero. They asked me to fill out a questionnaire covering the past five years of employment, education and addresses. From what I saw, JPM mainly cross-checks the information you provide with your CV to make sure previous employment has been disclosed. The focus seemed to be on criminal record checks in countries where you have lived and verification of previous employment. For employment verification, Vero first asks you to provide HR or payroll contact emails so they can confirm the role directly. If they cannot verify it, for example if HR does not respond or the company no longer exists, they may ask you to provide documents such as contracts or payslips. If you cannot provide documentation they simply report back to JPM that the employment could not be verified. In my case they did not check university clubs or associations

What about unpaid internships? Is there an option to indicate that an internship was unpaid? Obviously there won't be payslips or sometimes even formal documentation.

Does anyone know if SA ‘26 background check is based on the CURRENT most updated resume on the portal? Or the one you had for the recruiting?
