JPM Coverage teams
Incoming SA for this summer, just wanted to get a better insight into the different coverage teams at JPM before I send off my preferences in a couple weeks. All responses are appreciated!
I’m also interested in hearing about the M&A team if anyone could help!
M&A is probably the best group at JPM along with HC. Phenomenal PE exits but also very sweaty.
From direct experience / friends in other groups, culture-wise consumer is toxic af, hc is pretty chill, tech / m&c depends on office (rip SF tech for ex)
What does for ex mean?
What office? Cuz NY just got done w/ group placement networking period and submission of group rankings was due last week lol.
London office
Obviously coverage depends on your sector interest. In terms of prestige and exits, healthcare is at the very top, then m&c. Tech has been climbing up the league tables in recent years and was one of the largest revenue contributor in IB before rate hikes. FIG is quite good but very interest specific. DI is solid.
