not in process but curious

which vertical in FIG is best e.g. banks, AM, WM, (Fintech?) etc. in terms of deal exposure and learning

 

Kind of depends on what you want to do and what’s happening in the world. Bank deals are really straight forward once you understand the language but private equity is not buying banks. A handful of IBs do almost all bank deals. I was a generalist and touched all of the verticals as a junior. If exit ops are your concern touching fintech and AM or alt AM would be very beneficial

Would they even look at lateral coming from MM PE (Asset Management Analyst)?
