JPM Financial Sponsors Group Insights and Exits

Got a FT offer from internship at a MM bank coverage group covering hard assets which was pretty niche. Considering other opportunities for full-time and I am curious about Financial Sponsors Groups and specifically JPM's group. I know at some banks FSG groups are not very technical, but I have heard JPM is a bit more so. Any insight on exits as well would be greatly appreciated.

standard FSG is very good at JPM with probably the chillest hours and cool seniors who will pick up the phone and rec analysts to PE if you care about exits. do you have an offer from MM FSG or regular FSG? MM FSG is more MM exits and sweatier due to volume

I believe it is the regular FSG as it is part of the IBD. Any insight on comp? Please PM if you can it won't let me.

comp is pretty in line with other coverage groups, probs a discount to m&a which is fair given hours worked. If you have the offer is this not just a clear step up for you? Better name, better exits, less pigeonholey group and probably better hours than an infra group

My only concern is whether or not they get investing roles looks for PE but it seems that that is possible right?

Past its prime. FSG can’t make calls now due to Jamie new rule at the helm for not supporting PE.
