JPM Forcing Vaccine?
Do y’all think any of banks are going to mandate their employees to get the vaccine? I know JPM is in-person (at least some of their offices) this summer, but will there be a time banks force their employees to get it?
Or are there enough people who would riot if they made that demand?
Also, I know the government/companies cannot mandate something not approved by the FDA. The vaccine is currently under the emergency use authorization, which is not able to be mandated (until it goes through the normal approval process). But what happens AFTER the FDA approves it through its typical process?
I think Jefferies tried doing something like that in January in London that met with some backlash so I doubt that the banks will force the people to get the vaccines.
They’re an at will employer so they could hypothetically do almost whatever they want. I doubt they’ll force anything though.
If anything, they’d require a vaccine to come in person and force unvaccinated people to work from home. However, again, this is extremely doubtful.
