JPM Real Estate Banking

Anyone in the JPM REB group? This is different from the REIB group (this is similar to corporate banking I believe but Commercial Real Estate client specific).

I’m wondering what the bonus structure is for Client Associates and Client Executives. Base seems to be 100-120 for associates which seems low but could be decent if the bonus is 50% plus and hours are light. Hoping someone from this group can chime in.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, while there isn't specific data on JPM Real Estate Banking (REB) bonuses for Client Associates and Client Executives, compensation in similar roles within corporate banking or real estate finance suggests the following:

  1. Base Salary: $100K-$120K for associates aligns with typical ranges in corporate banking or real estate finance roles.
  2. Bonus Structure: In corporate banking, bonuses can range from 20%-50% of the base salary, depending on performance and seniority. If REB follows a similar structure, a 50% bonus would indeed make the total compensation competitive.
  3. Work-Life Balance: Hours in corporate banking roles, especially those focused on real estate, are often lighter compared to investment banking, averaging around 40-50 hours per week.

If the bonus structure is on the higher end (50%+), the total compensation could be attractive, especially when paired with a better work-life balance.
