Just caught an error in my case study - what to do?
I just completed a case study yesterday and noticed an error this morning after looking over the deliverable. Basically, I had 2 hours to construct an LBO model from the time I was sent the materials yesterday. I was scrambled and sent the email with 5 minutes to spare, so I did not have much time to look over my work. After looking over the model this morning, I just realized I did not build in a cash flow sweep. Debt is just amortizing at the rate given for each tranche. Should I fix the model and re-send, and acknowledge the error? Or just let it ride and see what they say?
I'd just leave it. It's a small point (especially if the model works sans that functionality) on the rubric and they likely aren't going to give you credit a day later for fixing it.
Which bank was this for?
Rather not say. MM LevFin role. Experienced Analyst hire
