Just had Superday with BB, invited by same BB for 1st round w/ different division HELP

What in the world should I do??

I just had a Superday today with one division within a BB. Right after my Superday ended, I get an email saying I was invited for a 1st round interview with a different division of the same BB.

The second division is Ops. and I obviously prefer the first division. However, I don't want to be left empty handed at the end of recruiting season because some internship, whether it be ops, or risk managment, or S&T, or IBD is better than nothing at all.

Please advise quickly.

Be honest about it with them.

I had the same issue with Lehman for fixed income and IB SA spots (I was already down the IB path). Let them know you're waiting to hear back from the IB group and they should be understanding. Alternatively, you could hold off on replying to the first round ops invite, but of course you'll run the risk of missing a sign-up window.

I do not know what BB you are refering to and I do not want to know for professional reasons. But if it is GS, that is their MO. Call the new division, set up your interview and give it your all you got, with a smile on your face. This is only for SA, times are tight and this is how it works quite often. Best of luck. JMO
