Just Looking For Advice For Guidance- Serious (pre-med 2 finance)

( Cue Dwight Schrute Voice) Hello all who may read this,

(Cue my normal voice) // In all honesty, I just wanted a space to share my story. I would love guidance, advice, and even the smallest words of wisdom during this time.

Background:
Just completed undergrad (S/O Class of '19) @ a well respected university (top 30 or so) in the U.S., where I majored in neuroscience on the pre-med track. I would lie if I told you that my plan was to be here on this day on this forum. My sister and mother are both dentists, and my dad is a former cardiologist (MD x MBA holder). My parents immigrated to the US approx. 25 years ago, and, since my birth, there has always been a precedent to follow in my father's footsteps of being a surgeon. For awhile, this was exactly the plan. My choice of college for undergard was one that has a well known business school (target for many BB/ MM banks), and only recently did the desire to pursue a career in IB hit me. I don't want this to be too long, so I will cut many of the minute details. As of today, I am looking to gain advice on recommendations to break into IB. Academically, I had a 3.6 GPA with my hell of course load, and I even completed course work in accounting, finance, and economics (Both principal level + theory level courses). I participated in a program through our business school following graduation and I was able to earn a 4.0 there. Relevant internship type work includes working at a small tech startup where I did strategy work (analyzed implementation of block chain into diff. healthcare sectors/ verticals + conducted competitive analysis on a qualitative and quantitative level) as well as a serving as a financial healthcare intern at a local hospital. I know this is slightly hard to follow, but I just wanted to paint a picture in as brief yet thorough of summary as possible. I would love to hear recommendations on how I can break into IB. I've done many of the M&I guides to get up to speed with valuation methods/ methodologies that are popular in interviews, and I have been trying to set up as many calls with alum in the industry, as well as reach out to local boutiques. I've really tried to market myself as someone simply seeking an opportunity (intern over full time even), and that I would welcome even joining the pool of summer analysts that banks bring in (yet I understand that I am no reason to throw off a bank's recruiting cycle). I truly believe that, as a result of my rigorous academic, there is nothing that I can't achieve, and all I need is a chance to prove myself to whoever out there is willing to roll the dice on me.

Apologies if any of the above came across in any negative way- I truly am just trying to be transparent and vulnerable to the limits that posting on the internet will allow me to reach. I know many of you are in IB, left IB, just earned/ completed summer internships for IB, and I just wanted to congratulate all of you. I'm sure you're all highly accomplished individuals with a great professional career lying in front of you, so I would love to hear any and all suggestions on what to do to help me going forward.

Thanks!
