Just started realizing the necessities as a sophomore. Hoping for advice.

So I'm a finance major at a target/semi-target in NYC. I'm a first generation college student and didn't know what to expect with studying finance, but realized going into IB and transitioning to buy-side is something I'm interested in. Problem is, I'm already a sophomore now and 2020 summer analyst positions are likely all gone. I have some general internship experience with finance but not enough. I'm anxious about moving forward but am hoping to use the spring break to actively start networking, take modeling courses, complete BMC, etc. Posting as I'm not sure what to do, I'm trying to do a lot of things at once and want advice on doing it efficiently. Thanks everyone, cheers.

He’s talking about Summer 2020 for sophomore internships. But yeah, no reason to worry as 2021 is just starting, and I don’t think that non-diversity interviews have started at major banks (except for Baird).

Man I have no idea. I'm in your shoes at a target, and that's how I know that most brand-name banks haven't started interviewing yet. It might, because of what's currently happening with the markets and the virus, but we'll have to wait and see.
