KeyBanc Capital Markets Interview
I just received a call for an interview with KeyBanc Capital Markets and have a few question
According to the internship job listing that I applied to, you can be placed in IBD, S&T or Capital Markets. Does anyone know what type of interview I should expect then? How would I prepare for it? (I mean IBD and S&T interviews are very different). Does anyone have any information with regard to where they usually place their summer interns?
I am an engineering major, not an accounting/finance/econ major. I did some searches and someone mentioned the whole class last year was accounting/finance majors. Would I struggle throughout the interview process because they expect accounting majors and would ask a lot of accounting questions? where can I find myself a crash course on those topics?
Does anyone have personal experiences interviewing with them? Anything would help.
Thanks guys.
"Potential opportunities where KBCM Summer Interns may be placed for the summer include: -Institutional Banking -Syndicated Finance -Equity Capital Markets -Fixed Income -Commercial Banking -Bank Capital Markets -Equity Sales & Trading"
they wouldn't be interviewing you if they thought you would struggle. just read over the wall street oasis interview guide or something.
their interviews aren't that technical either, everything can be answered by vault. went through the process last year
and u would most likely be placed in DCM or ECM, not S&T, they ionly have 4 traders
I do have some personal experience with the guys at Key, specifically their summer program. Your interviews probably won't be any different than any other investment banking interview you've ever had, in fact probably even less technical since the position is so open.
Key is a good place to summer, generally smaller deal teams and good people who want to make sure your experience is worthwhile.
did you end up getting an offer, roberto?
they use the term institutional banking on their website a lot.
what will the position of an analyst, say with the industrials group, in institutional banking entail?
like in places, they label christopher gorman's title as 'head of institutional banking,' but of course he is the 'overall' president of keybanc capital markets..so why do they use the term 'head of institutional banking' and what exactly is institutional banking as it relates to kcm?
