In short - I am a junior industry guy and I am having conversations about joining to KPMG Power & Utilities' M&A team in London.
I'm looking to understand a bit better if those guys are actual deal advisory? Has anyone in P&U come across them, any impressions?

If its the corporate finance/deal advisory/M&A team, then yes, they do transactions. I don't know how many, it may be more asset level A&D than M&A since they don't have any lending or underwriting capabilities. I know I saw a couple of KPMG profiles claiming they were the advisor to e.on in their 80% wind farm sale which was a multi-billion dollar deal.
