KPMG EVS Exit Opps

Hey guys,

I am a long time troller... first time value-adder...

I am going through the process at KPMG for EVS and am trying to figure out what the exit opps are out of that department. My idea would be to lateral to Ireland/UK after a year into one of the corporate finance/Restructuring groups of KPMG where they are a highly regarded bank and then exit into a PE fund in Europe.. Go to B-School and then come back to the US..

I obviously would want to go to either LBS or Stanford and then go Megafund (MF)

Haywood, pretty positive I know what school you go to.

And if I'm right, here is what you need to know.

There is a GOLDEN pathway from (your school)=> Big 4=> Booth/Kellog/Ross/Tuck/Stern (this level of bschool) => associate at BB IBD.

For Bschool, apply FROM your big 4 job.

Top Bschools recruit in pools. Don't appy from the IBD pool; your resume will be average in comparison. Apply in the big 4 bucket and you're a top candidate.

Don't believe me? Contact alumns from your school in IBD, preferably those who have graduated in the last 10-15 years. This path is tried and true. Trust me.

It may not have clean PE exit ops, but clean PE exit ops aren't available to everyone, and being an associate at a BB is pretty sweet if you're serious enough about the industry.
