Lack of News Coverage Today

I cannot understand with one of the biggest events to hit the markets in decades going on. why none is covering anything about Lehman or ML and BofA. Dealbreaker made a point about this and I can't understand why there is no TV news on it. I know hurricane Ike is going on but political news is taking the place of what is a historic event. Any thoughts on where to get news? CNBC has been selling spatula spreaders and Proactive all day.

Good thread. I don't have CNBC here so have been watching Bloomberg (US version) the last 5 hours, its incredible how blasé they are about this. Yes they do have it as the main headline but Lehman filing for bankruptcy they say blandly as if its any other story, not one of the most catastrophic days in the last decade of financial history that it truly is.

These online sources had some blurbs throughout the afternoon. Not lots of details. But there's nothing on TV - not on Sunday.

There's nothing to say on live TV anyway. They'd just be trying to fill up gobs of time with commentary, talking heads, and recaps, while waiting for scraps of breaking news.
