Landed an interview for a small MM bank, what to expect?

Freshman here. Landed this interview through an email. The boutique bank has 2-3 partners, and that's about it. Their deals are primarily in the 2 mil to 10 mil range, but they do cover up to 75 mil.

With something like this, what should i expect out of an interview? Any specific technical aspects I should read up on considering deal size?

Check to see if there are any specific industries they cover and read up on those. You might want to get some familiarity with things like PIPE's, reverse mergers, etc. (things that are more common with young/small companies).

It's impossible to say what questions you will get. You should 100% be ready to answer all of the basic technicals.

Edit: missed that you were a freshman...I would expect mostly behavioral questions and maybe a couple easy technicals.

"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen."

Know your story, why you want to do banking, why a boutique, why that place, what is the role of an analyst.....I'm assuming if they're a boutique, their interviews will be more behavioral, but should know standard technicals (ways to value a company, basic accounting like how FS link together). You're a freshman, so you won't be expected to know much.

Good luck!

This, it is mostly going to be fit. It wouldn't hurt to go over some basic technicals, but I wouldn't fret too much
