last class
Hey Guys,
So it's almost the end of my college life, and I should be happy with a decent job lined up. However, senioritis has hit me hard in one of my classes.
There are possibly 2 options for me. 1. Hold on to double major in Econ and Math
Pro: I'll have a double major Con: I'll have to finish up an econ class which I can get C at best, possible C- or lower. If that happens my GPA will drop to 3.6 or even 3.55
- Fail the final Econ class deliberately, and not get a credit
Pro: My GPA would end up being a respectable 3.67 Cons: No double major (just math major), there would be a "No Credit" in my transcript
when i applied for my job i just listed math as my major in my resume anyways.
Please discuss my two options based my bschool admissions and pre-MBA job change after 1-2 years. I have realized how stupid I am for undoing my hardwork in the previous years by just fucking up 1 class.
Ask your prof to change the grading option to Pass/Fail
^thats not an option here.
Bribe the prof for an A. If he says yes, you win. If he says "fuck you, you fail," you win.
how does deliberately failing a class not count against your GPA?
W - Withdrawal @ my school. You fail the class but it is not included in GPA calculations.
OP, what are your other Econ classes like? Probably good, so one black mark can't be that bad. Plus, a W doesn't necessarily look better than a C. You could probably spin either though.
Wow! I wish my undergrad college had such generous policy! In my school if you didn't drop the class by a certain time---usually 1 month before end of semester, then you no longer had the option to withdrawal and if you fail then you get a F on your transcript.
Yeah, my bad, I should have specified that. I think we get until the last 1/3 of the semester to drop with a W.
EDIT: I didn't specify because I assumed OP was talking about the standard W. Makes no sense that a normal F wouldn't apply to his GPA.
Same here.
You're a math major, just fanangle the numbers to make it work.
Don't be a pussy, finish the class.
