Probably after your 2nd year coming in as A2/A3 to new bank. Lot of A2 leaves for PE so theres a talent drain at the AN3 level. If you come in after a year at the A2 level, there might be slight hesitation since you could adjust and then bounce after a year, perpetuating more problems in retention

Definitely viable, if you're going from same coverage group to same one. If you have good deal experience and its a reputable MM shop will def get you in the door (target undergrad could win a brownie point or two); prolly would be best to hit up alumni, maybe other people who have similar backgrounds. However, not sure right now is best time to go to a new shop. Not building rapport with the new team in this kind of job economy would be tough when revenues plummet end of '23 and people r on the chopping block
