Lateral Process Timeline & When to Reach Out/Follow Up
Let’s say we are talking about BB IB here.
I’m aware that, for SA or first-year FT right out of school,if you don’t hear 1-2 days after the super day, it’s probably not good news, and it’s generally not appropriate to follow up beyond a simple “thank you” email immediately after the interview.
What about a slower-moving lateral process, one without the conventional multi-candidate superday, but where you meet 6-7 people over a smattering of virtual and in-person rounds over a 3ish week span.
Is there any difference in how long offers usually take to go out, how long to wait before assuming it’s over, and the etiquette for following up (when and with whom)?
Would not feel great to be ghosted after such a process. Thanks.
