Could anyone give any insight on the process of attempting to lateral to an investment banking FT position after working for a year at a respected alternative asset manager? I know the best odds are to go IB directly from undergrad but am curious to hear from anyone that has gone this route. Background: +3.5 GPA but went to a non-target and did not do traditional business major so not a ton of opportunities after undergrad, but still have internship experience at a boutique HF
