Lateraling into IB from non-IB M&A Advisory in this economy

I’m currently at a non-IB firm doing sell-side M&A work preparing financial models and CIMs for clients to go to market. Currently interviewing with a couple MM/LMM IB at the Analyst 1 level and have less than one year of experience out of college. Should I make the transition now with the uncertainty of this economy and risk being laid off in a second job so early on, or wait till next year and see how the economy is?

Yea we work with banks for the sell side client where we put together financial models, CIMs, and help develop exit strategy to which we then hand it off to bankers to facilitate the deal. Most of our clients are family offices looking to sell a portion of their portfolio companies.

Are you in India then? I've seen a lot of that outsourcing going offshore for obvious reasons.
