I don't think you can really call Evercore and the others a T2 - they're all around the same calibre IMHO.
I do think Lazard is underrated on this forum but this is an obvious troll.
Troll post but Lazard is one of the more underrated banks on this forum. Our UMM PE firm has had some great success with hires from their analyst program.
No substitute for raw horsepower. I fully support including mental math in interviews. The ability to do relatively simple numeric work in a stressful context is sort of... the job?
Can confirm that laz had mental math in SDs and other EBs didnt from my own experiences at least, can depend on interviewers
