Got an Offer from Lazard in London office and want to know about the exit opps to PE (Apollo,CVC etc.) and HF (AKO,TCF etc.)
My goal over the time would to be start my own fund (L/S, PE)
Do you guys think Lazard is a good start if exits opps are a priority

It's going to be an uphill battle to get into an MFPE, and you can forget about SM HFs. MM HFs are doable though.
Have seen 1 person exit to MFPE tbf but he was an exceptional analyst
Isn't lazard a top place? How do you place into MF then?
Not in London.
Surely for Rx/distressed groups though? Or is HL/PJT the go-to for that in London?

On the contrary; even Rothschild beats Lazard on this side of the pond. The examples you present are not representative of Lazard but of the people getting these exit opps - they're all connected and as long as they weren't working at some dogshit corporate finance house they'd have the same outcome.
