Lazard london groups / culture / dealflow

Will be starting an offcycle soon and would appreciate any thoughts on groups, culture, dealflow etc

I know laz is going through a tough time with MDs leaving but would still appreciate any thoughts since I need to send in my team preferences

Really? Even they have not had any good exits.

What are the other good re teams in London?

Look at the directors, most have been there since a long time. The MD has been with Lazard for 15+ years and recently put the team on every take private that happened in the UK. Culture is decent from what I heard.

Other top RE teams include MS and GS in London. Jefferies had a good year but the head just signed to lead CBRE UK practice. Citi and DB are not bad as well but still lagging behind for now.

Which off-cycle are you joining? PCA have already started and H1 26 hasn't finished recruiting yet

Industrial placement - just said off cycle in case people are not familiar with it

Rx, FIG, & RE have best mix of strong culture and solid deal flow. DCM another solid all around team. Industrials and Natural Resources both sweaty but good deal experience. Healthcare has great culture although lost a lot of their team.

Avoid Business Services and Consumer at all costs - two worst culture teams and no deals.
