Lazard Night Analyst

I have seen the Lazard Night analyst come up several times, but can someone elaborate on how this works? Do you apply the summer before? Is it for junior year students? Difficult to get?

I have searched, but so far all I know is that Lazard SF offers a night analyst program during the school year (both fall and spring?)

If anyone has done this internship before, or knows about it, please leave some comments. Thanks

From analystforum:

Think of it as a normal IB analyst role, only that your workday starts at around 4 or 5 pm. It’s designed for college kids who want to be able to put the spreadsheeting, etc, on their resume.

For starters, Laz also has NAs in Chicago. To the best of my knowledge, here are the answers to your questions...

-Night analysts are hired as school-year interns in the Tech M&A group. They are paid hourly and are trained to function at full analyst level to help with any overstaffing back up. -Hiring rounds for NAs are in the fall, at Haas. Your profile says you're at Stanford, the group probably wouldn't be opposed to a Stanford NA, but traveling into the city every night would probably be a major hang-up. -Yes, Junior year students. -Yes, difficult to get. Usually top-caliber at Haas with previous experience from a strong Tech M&A shop from Sophomore summer internships (previous include: Wedbush, Morgan Keegan, Morgan Joseph, other IBs and VCs, etc.).
