Received FT offers from both firms and cannot decide on which one to choose. Lazard is much more established in Europe but Evercore is an equally reputable firm. Can anyone shed light on which one they would choose in my position? I am a final year student at a semi-target and would be looking to recruit for MFs or UMMs

Both are very solid and have the same exits. Think more about the fit/type of team/group that you will work for. Evercore has a smaller analyst class than Lazard, you might want to consider this as well.

PJT on par, Centerview / Moelis a bit below but still very strong EBs.
Thanks, how do they compare to GS/MS/JPM? In the U.S. Evercore/Laz/PJT/MoCo/CV all stack up quite favourably (obv considering group and the experience you want). Is this also true of London?
GS/MS/JPM would probably be above as most of the European dealflow is around capital markets, hence BBs. That said it would depend on the group. Say a bad group at JPM will be below an average at Moelis. A strong group at moelis will be better than an average group at MS. The difference is anyway very little, go where you would feel best and would have good friends there. Pay in all EBs will be above street with PWP being insane, heard of £100k, if anyone can confirm?
