Hah, when does that cross the line into insider trading?
I liked reading the article, but to be honest I don't think it makes much sense. Unless LeBron is buying shares now, he shouldn't expect to make an abnormal return on MSG after his announcement. I suppose you could argue that if he becomes a large shareholder he can create value at his discretion by putting in more workout time, but I don't think that makes too much of a difference. Maybe ask Shaq- he has an MBA.
What I think would be cool is if the Cavs shorted the Vegas line on LeBron staying in Cleveland as a hedge. No doubt if he goes then the value of the Cavs organization drops big time.
