Leveraging personal connections as an analyst
Might be a stupid question but. Starting as in analyst soon and I’m fortunate to know some C suite level executives at companies the bank has relationships with. Is it appropriate to use these relationships to get meetings with their executive teams to pitch deals? Don’t want to come off as an asshole but feel like there’s some opportunity to use these connections .
How about bring this to your MD? My team talks to many advisors on the street and I have never met any one below director outside deals, not even a VP.
I'm sure your MD would appreciate it as they are responsible for bringing deals.
It might be more proper to strategize an outreach approach and make a formal introduction between your MD and the management team.
Otherwise, not sure if the company would take pitches from an analyst seriously.
Appreciate the insight. How would you go about appropriately bring this up to your MD?
