Commenting for the US and for all banks: BoFa and JPM are the top 2 without a doubt. After them is basically a pack of banks (in alphabetical order): Barclays, Citi, DB, GS, Jefferies (I know nobody considers them a BB, but they are truly a comp to the rest here in part due to their ability to bring highly levered deals to market), and UBS. Would note that a lot of pure balance sheets like the Japanese ones or the Canadian ones are pretty high on overall leveraged loan rankings, but they very rarely are lead-lefts on leveraged loan deals. Different strengths and weaknesses for each, but the top 2 are pretty much set, with the rest being harder to rank per se.

I would also like to note that I am not ranking groups or tiering by junior experience, merely by the strength of the franchise. I am aware there is a wide gap in terms of some of these LevFin groups doing modelling vs others having it being handled by coverage teams. However, I am too far removed from the junior experience or exit world to give a truly informed comment.
