Liberal Arts Colleges?

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I am a high school senior and I recently received a letter signifying I am (most likely) accepted into Colby College. Official decisions don’t come out for another month so I’m not jumping for joy yet, but this made me wonder, how well do these liberal arts colleges place place into high finance? Especially since they are located in usually unknown areas. I applied to a good amount of these LACs (Bowdoin, Williams, Amherst, Colby, Swarthmore, Pomona) so I’m pretty curious.

Thank you for your time

Those schools generally place decent to their solid alumni networks, granted you are willing to reach out to those people. When I was a senior in high school I had the chance to play a sport at a NESCAC school. However, I decided to go to a school that offered a traditional finance program. Recently landed an IB internship in NYC and would say that it made me more technically solid through the process, but ended up having to network a lot harder given our alumni network wasn’t as big. Ultimately, it’s really all about the pros and cons at each school and what you are looking for. The strengths of each college may be different but as long as you put the work in given the tools you’re provided you will do great.
