Like the Job but dislike the culture. Renege?
Lateral analyst here who previously accepted an offer with a MM IB. I had accepted the offer as I’m interested in the job/deal exposure but felt a strong cultural disconnect with the team and don’t feel that I will get along well with the team.
Should I just renege on the offer and stay at my current firm? Thing is I’m not 100% sure on the exact cultural dynamics of the team since I haven’t started the job yet but have heard the MM bank has a somewhat toxic culture.
