Career Resources
Linkedin is good for connecting to alumni networks, reaching out to those people, and reaching out to other people in your target industry. You don't need a profile to land an internship, but it certainly doesn't hurt arranging coffee chats / soliciting info from professionals. It's the proverbial "put yourself on the map" tool that many recruiters and other industry professionals look at, and that is most useful when you already HAVE a career.
