Liquid Focus / Other Supplements

I've been seeing a lot of ads recently for liquid focus (kind of like 5 hour energy but supposedly better). Anyone tried it? If so, how have the results stacked up to other forms of energy enhancers such as coffee, energy drinks, etc.. I'm trying to decide whether to pick up a pack and want to know if the stuff actually helps or if its just fancy marketing.

So, if you just take a look at the ingredients, you will see that two of the main ingredients are caffeine and l-theanine, both of which you don't need More Labs to sell to you. You can get caffeine + L-theanine pills elsewhere which would be much higher value for your dollar. Caffeine is obviously nothing special, and you're like me, you already have an absurdly highly tolerance to it, so it won't do much for you. If the caffeine does nothing for you, the l-theanine is also not going to do as good of a job as it is supposed to. Then you really just have huperzine a, which if you've ever taken by itself, does basically nothing of any significance. The rest of the ingredients pale in comparison to the real heavy hitters that you can find elsewhere such as Modafinil, Adrafinil, Ritalin, Aderall, etc... You might want to try some supplements in the racetam class if you really want to improve your focus without buying illegal drugs. I would also hesitate to call Liquid Focus a "nootropic smart drink" just because it has a non-disclosed amount of huperzine in it. 4/10
