London Accommodation for Summer Internship
Any preferred London accommodation (internship last for six weeks)?
Not many places accept six weeks.
I live 1 hour away from London via train, then 15 mins on the tube so 1h15m.
Im not in IBD, but in AM/HF.
Friends tell me that 1h15m is fine but i would rather not as I value my sleep.
EDIT: i understand 1h by train is fine and the train is even more busy from my area to London (so its more common than I thought) but i guess via train will suffice
Be smart and save some money, 1hr commute is not a big deal. Besides, I wouldn't be worried about long hours anyway, I don't think AM/HF work IB hours.
1) gumtree, spareroom UK, thestudentroom forums might help
2) maybe there is a good Bed And Breakfast somewhere? (for the US folks: BnB in the UK is a bit like a mom&pop run motel)
3) 1 hour commute is nothing, fairly common around London.
4) maybe a sublet is more your thing? there must be someone moving out somewhere in London...
