London banks that pay low bonuses
I recently got to know that not all banks pay the same range of bonuses. I expected a small difference, however it appears to be too much. For example, the French banks pay around 5-10k of bonuses at Analyst levels, which is less than 1/3rd of BB/EBs.
So, could anyone provide any more detail on this? As far as I know BNP, SocGen, ING and the likes pay the lowest bonuses. Can anyone confirm? Thanks a lot :)

Are you sure about your numbers? Is it for IB? Is it with £50k base? Isn't it stub bonus?
It seems very low, for BNP Paribas for example I know that numbers in Paris are more like €60k + ~€25k, which I would find it surprising if they paid less in London.
I am not very sure about my numbers and hence the post in the first place. Also, your numbers about BNP Paris is right and I can confirm that. However, in London, I HEARD that the numbers are lower and wanted to confirm. Also, one old article from efinancial careers seem to support it is too
And with the thing about Paris vs London isn't it higher in Paris in all places? Like most IB groups pay 65+35 in Paris. However eur to gbp brings the difference closer.
As others have said, are you sure this isn't just a stub bonus?

You can find some of this information online. This report covers BBs and shows a fair amount of disparity even amongst those. MMs like those you mention will pay significantly less.
Certain MMs like Jefferies, WB can actually pay significantly more, although the French MMs do indeed tend to pay less
Really? AN1 at those firms get more than £40K bonus? Seems strange...

A few of my mates off cycled at bnp m&a London. They had to stay beyond midnight almost every single day.
Well, I’m at a US bank and most of the time everybody’s on at midnight. No facetime just work.
