LONDON IBD FT CV Review - please rip my CV apart..

Hi guys,

I will be applying to London FT IBD roles; please rip away my CV. I just graduated from a UK university with a 2.1 which is around 3.7 GPA when converted, any advice on improvements will be hugely appreciated!

I would strongly advise you to apply for IBD internships, considering FT is extremely competitive due to the few number of spots. People who aquire FT roles without completing an internship with the same firm have in my experience almost always had relevant M&A internships elsewhere prior to applying.

I did an engineering internship in the summer of 2016 which I left out as I don't want to come across I am jumping from different job sector to another, do you guys think having the consulting internship is fine?

I second getting rid of car spotting under interests; sounds a bit odd in my mind has similar connotations to people who look for trains... Overall content is solid, but would also remove proficient in excel and powerpoint (i take it they assume that you will be able to use excel and powerpoint) unless you have some certificate to show how good you are at them. Also, since you have a 2.1 i would add the % you achieved in the first year if it is a relatively high 2.1.
