London SA signing bonus - before or with first salary?
Hi, I’m an incoming summer analyst at JPM in London.
From those who have completed summers, do you typically get the signing bonus before you start the role or at the end of your first month?
JPM have said it could be either, so I’d like to hear anecdotes from those who have done a summer.

It could be either. As JPM said. It's probably wise to just listen to people closest to the problem telling you stuff.

Icl you deserve a shit. He asked a valid question and wanted some guidance. It helps with his budgeting and financial planning. No need to be a prick about it lol.
My point is, some banks pay it ahead, some banks pay it with first paycheck. The outcome is binary. If OP gets these answers, he is no closer to knowing his budget than what JPM told him...
OP should just budget assuming the worst.
Its a relocation bonus not a signing bonus, it is meant to be with your first paycheck to help cover relocation costs. They mentioned it in a onboarding webinar.
