If your firm uses Citrix, you can remote in via Mac and work on Windows environment; you will need an external Windows keyboard - excel shortcuts and all will work. Thinkpad E14/L15 are also decent options below 1k ps if you are interested.
I have WFH equipment arriving in second week of June, so also unsure what to expect.
Do you have any idea if, while using Citrix, you keep the specs of the laptop you “physically” use or do you get the specs of their system (speed, memory etc)?
The performance depends entirely on the bank’s virtual desktop. The only part of your laptop that is relevant for performance is its internet connection.
Depends on the BB you are starting at on what you can expect. GS unsurprisingly does not provide anything.

Yeah sorry for being salty here. Trust me, I would go there again because reputation and exits are absolutely unparalleled, and I am grateful for that because it worked out very well for me in the end, but you certainly pay a high price for this. This firm really is ridiculous in so many ways and after some time you are just fed up by seeing that they get away with how they treat their people. The issue is that they are at the top of the food chain and people would literally pay the firm money just for the chance to work there (myself included when I was at uni and I mean it 100%) so they can continue to treat people like this while other firms have to improve to get the talent. They know you would not go to a lower tier BB even if the other BB pays you more with better hours (which is exactly what these firms offer).
I personally find it outraging that some banks do not provide laptops to analysts.
Got 2 screens, Lenovo thinkpad laptop, mouse and keyboard, but heard others get nothing. Really depends on the firm.
