Longest IB Day You Can Remember
IB guys, what was the longest day you had? Arrival time, departure time, what was going on that day. Probably helps if happened recently (last few years).

Bump
Arrived in the office before 9am and left a little after 5am the next day. Can’t even remember what I was working on, sure a lot of others relate.
The days just blur.
Got in 7am (was doing a load of public markets stuff so needed to be around for the RNS go-live), spent a full day on that and two other live deals and some other pitches, finished up at maybe 3am once the next 7am announcement had been signed off by the lawyers following a load of back-and-forth. Woke up again at 6:45 to do it all again
this is some time ago but we had a horrible day on this random industry group pitch (no business was ever going to come out of this)
Got to the office at 7:45am (super early in my group at the time), to get ahead on putting together an updated comps set and work on some company overview slides for a pitch we had been working on for a couple of days (with not nearly sufficient heads up ofcourse).
Got a second analyst draftet onto the team last minute from client coverage as the pitch would take place 8:30am next morning and was too much for me to finish alone (on a different floor).
Due to the Director / MD only properly reviewing pages that day was an insane amount of mark-up back and forth and graphics trying to fix slides with maps and stuff on them and the other analyst and me were just working through it relentlessly. Quick dinner at 7pm and back to turning slides. MD home at this point but calling in, making changes, screaming around etc.
We continued to work and got the deck into pretty decent shape by around 5:30am (seniors had been long asleep at this point). Had to get a few things fixed on graphics and decided to just wait in the office for the MD / Director to come back and hand them the finished printouts. Took a 25 minute nap in one of the toilet stalls with my head leaned against the wall and got back to desk for some minor comments the Director had literally last minute at 6:30am - printouts ready by 7:55
At freaking 8:00am we were told the meeting got cancelled....also there was never a follow-up scheduled neither!
This is over a decade ago but I still remember that day pretty vividly
