Loop Capital Markets
There hasn't been a thread on this firm in the past few years, and I was curious as to what you all think? Culture? Deal flow? Good place for a first internship in IBD? All feedback welcome

I think its a great place for a first internship. I know a couple guys who worked there summer after freshman year, as I almost did before receiving a better offer, and they went to BB's for their sophomore summer. Idk too much about deal flow or whatever but know the culture is pretty lax and they have a couple senior guys from BBs. Hope this helped.
Thank you so much, this is exactly what I was looking for.
No problem. The hours are really light for IB cap mkts guys too. Pretty sure they were leaving at 6 or 7 and got a whole IB experience as a freshman.
Thats a huge perk, very glad you came back to mention it
Also a good bank to work with. And also on a lot of syndicate deals on my desk. The kicker here is that Loop is almost never the Senior manager of underwriting groups, so you'll have limited senior managed transaction experience in capital markets. If you're looking at Capital Markets bro try Hutch, Ziegler, Stifel, Baird, or Janney. They all win a lot of deals.
Have a friend just interned there. Heard people are great. A lot of guys are from MS and UBS. However, they are very specialized in public finance and municipal underwriting. If it's your first ibd internship, it seems like a good place to be.
Does anybody have insights into the Loop Capital Markets SA recruitment process? (Originally Posted: 11/01/2017)
Has anybody been contacted to do their first round interview yet? Also, if you've interned there before can you expand on their recruitment process? Thanks.
