Louisville KY?

I recently received an offer from a company for an internship position in either Louisville KY or Grand Rapids MI. The offer is for Public Finance (which in their description includes Investment banking as well as S&T). I realize these are not ideal cities but take in mind that I am only a freshman. What would your opinion be on these two cities? I know nothing about them. Thanks.

I've been to both.

Grand Rapids is a fine town. But that's what it is, a regular town. I'm sure you can have some fun there and there definitely isn't anything wrong with it, but its a very average town. I have a few different friends whose families have lake homes in that relative area. If you make friends with someone that owns a boat you could have a decent time.

I have not spent much time in Louisville at all, but my impression is that its an ok small city. If you're expecting NYC or Chi you're going to be very disappointed. But, it's definitely larger than GR and more entertainment options.

in grad school a few of my classmates were from southern IN and northern KY - some of them chose to go work in Louisville over Chicago. So, it suits some people.

And congrats on offers as a Freshman
