lower level BB DCM or MM IBD Coverage
hey guys, title says it all. using a throwaway as my main is too recognizable. this is for a SA position next yr
got a DCM offer from a lower level BB as well as one from a MM for IBD coverage. The BB is in NYC while the MM is in Houston.
background: semi target-target for houston, non-target-semitarget for NYC, no relevant IBD exp/mediocre GPA, but networked a lot

I'd take the BB in NY and try to lateral/changes groups. Being in NY is a big plus. This is assuming you are not talking about WF (btw WF not a BB)
thank you, is it easy to switch from DCM to product/coverage at BBs in NYC? Could i leverage the MM for FT at a top BB/EB?
Came here to say exactly what viva_la_liberte posted. Being in NY is huge, and where all the action happens. Being in Houston should be a last resort if you're getting BB offers in NY. Congrats my friend, either option will lead to a successful career, but I highly recommend choosing the NYC position.
If it's "Piper" in Houston and you're 1) ok with the city and 2) want to do energy, would probably pick that since that means Simmons.
Otherwise BB probably?
