Lower Tier BB vs Top EB in London

Hi,

Lucky to have landed a summer internship at a lower tier BB and top tier EB in London. Which one would you guys choose? EBs seem to not be as strong in Europe as in the US and little info is available on their European operations.

Thanks for your reply. I am planning to exit to PE and while I have read that EBs place well at PEs in the US, I have not heard that regarding PE in London. Do you know anything regarding PE placement?

question is "can you get a job at an EB from a mid-tier BB"? plenty of HSBC, DB, CS, UBS analysts 2/3 looking to move to greener pastures.

I feel in London, BB's are regarded much more highly than EBs compared to how they match up in the US. Therefore, probably better to start at a BB. Plus, BAML is an American BB, which makes it even more highly-regarded.

Since this is for a SA, that means that BAML will be incredibly chill because they have a limit on the amount of hours SAs are allowed to work in a week (I think 60-65 hours a week). Also, just in case you don't get the offer, BAML SA should get you interviews everywhere.

In the end you won't go wrong with any of the three, congrats on the offers!
