M&A - Capital Markets
Hi!
I am currently an intern in Private Equity (Buyout) in London and I will not be retained in my current fund, so I got these two offers in banking:
- Global Capital Markets Off-Cycle intern at Morgan stanley
- M&A FIG Off-Cycle intern at Jefferies
What do you think will have the best exit opportunities if I want one day to come back to private equity?
Bump
Not smart enough to know the answer (I would say coverage / M&A > ECM but MS is also so much more relevant to PE in Europe) however if you weren’t aware Jefferies have an M&A team - so joining the FIG team would be like a standard coverage team (i.e. they do both advisory and financing)
Thank you so much! This is helpful. During the hiring process I was allocated to the leveraged finance team at Morgan Stanley. Do you think in terms of exit opportunities FIG would be better?
