M&A to JP Morgan Global Corporate Bank
Guys,
Anyone out here familiar with the global corporate banking gig at JP Morgan? I'm currently starting my 3rd year at a boutique which focuses on FIG and getting paid close to nothing. An opportunity with JPM has come along where I would be more of a relationship manager with many of the sub $25B institutions in selling the C-level execs a vast majority of products that JPM offers from M&A, to holding company debt, to bank level credit and overnight liquidity, to treasury services. I look at it more of a liaison position in not only cultivating these relationships, but maintaining them and passing them on for service needed to the correct department.
In any event, I was hoping to get some insight from you guys if leaving my current position is wise. Banking M&A is still fairly slow, but i feel like if I were to opt out and jump ship then I'd be shooting myself in the foot as my exit ops down the road may not be the best with the position offered by JPM. Thoughts?
Although JPM is a top bank, I'd honestly look for something more 'banking' related. This is assuming you want to do banking / PE of course.
