How do I make past BS secretarial work for a BB sound more important when applying for an IB internship the next summer?
i just don't know how much i can stretch answering phones and making copies into sounding like something more meaningful.. or will even that secretary "experience" look good for when i apply to IB internships next summer.. btw im an entering freshman

For phone work, just say you maintained relationships with clients on a regular basis. For office work, just don't say "performed administrative tasks." Use better verbs like "assisted," "produced," or "developed," even if you really didn't produce/develop anything. Don't worry, you have to start somewhere.
Also, don't count on getting an IB internship after freshman year (or even sophomore).
Don't try to make bs sound good. HR will know.

i'm not counting on it at all.. i'm just trying to land a pwm internship or asset management internship if i can't get ib (bb or boutique)
